About Alexander H. Levitt, M.D.
Alexander (Alex) H. Levitt, M.D., is a radiologist specializing in neuroradiology. He is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at AVÑо¿Ëù and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus.
Dr. Levitt graduated from Yale University, where he earned his B.A. in Psychology (Behavioral Neuroscience track) in 2006. He received his M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2012.
Following an internship in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, Dr. Levitt completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Montefiore in 2017. He stayed on to complete a two-year fellowship in Neuroradiology from 2017 to 2019, during which he helped to restart functional MRI scanning for pre-surgical planning.
Before coming to Weill Cornell, Dr. Levitt spent seven years practicing neuroradiology at Jacobi Medical Center. He served as MR Safety Officer (2019–2025) and Associate Program Director of the Radiology Residency program (2023–2026). He also worked to improve the department’s CT and MR protocols, including 4D parathyroid CT.
Dr. Levitt interprets a wide variety of neuroradiological studies and performs image-guided procedures. He is an active teacher of residents, neuroradiology fellows, and medical students.
